Today is the day: the opening of AXÉ. Art and Spirituality in the Black Diaspora, a three-day international conference taking place in Vienna and online. Bringing together scholars, artists, and researchers from across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, the conference discusses artistic practice, spirituality, memory, and ancestral knowledge within the Black diaspora.

We invite online participants to join the live sessions and engage with the discussions throughout the program.

The conference continues over the next two days with panels on Music as Archive, Art and Spirituality, Building Worlds, and Ancestral Epistemologies, highlighting diverse perspectives on art, ritual practice, and knowledge production across the Black diaspora.
