Congratulations! FÖP Success and Upcoming Lecture by Ruby Satele Asiata

We are pleased to announce that Ruby Satele Asiata has successfully passed her Fakultätsöffentliche Präsentation (FÖP), the public presentation of her dissertation project.

Her research project, "The Rematriation of Ancestral Remains of Samoa in Germany and the Role of Museums of Art", is conducted under the supervision of Noémie Etienne.

In this context, we also warmly invite you to her upcoming lecture, "Thinking Trans-Indigenous: Melanesian Ancestral Remains and the Samoan Context", taking place on June 4 as part of the lecture series Museums, Exhibitions, Conservations (online, 7 May – 18 June 2025).
