Upcoming Event: Mechanisms of Fascisation in Art and Culture. An Antifascist Summit
On 8–9 October 2026, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the Institute of Art History at the University of Vienna will host Mechanisms of Fascisation in Art and Culture. An Antifascist Summit. Bringing together scholars and practitioners from the fields of art and culture, the summit examines how processes of fascisation shape artistic practices and cultural institutions, and how they can be identified, contested, and countered.
The two-day programme includes panel discussions, lectures, screenings, concerts, workshops, and performances, with contributions from Austria and beyond.
