New Blog Post: From Vietnam to Prague and Back Again

We are pleased to share a new contribution to the Heritage Studies Blog: “From Vietnam to Prague and Back Again: Cultural Diplomacy, Soft Power, and Solidarity in a Militarized World” by Anna-Marie Kroupová.

Drawing on insights from her recent research trip, Anna-Marie reflects on the connections between Vietnam and Prague through the lens of cultural diplomacy. From her own perspective as a researcher, she considers how histories of exchange, solidarity, and political engagement continue to shape contemporary understandings of culture, heritage, and international relations.

Moving between personal observations and broader reflections, the article examines the role of soft power in a world increasingly marked by militarization and geopolitical tensions. It highlights how heritage, memory, and transnational relationships can contribute to dialogue and solidarity across borders.
